Two trifling streams afterwards empty themselves into the Ystwith from the south-west, when, winding its course past Tan-y-Castell, it receives the tributary Paith at Rhydy-velin, and thence takes its course round the base of Pendinas hill, and falls into the Rheidol a little above where that river meets the sea, and gives its name to the town of Aberystwith.
