Every year, thousands of pounds worth of medicine is wasted because it's simply ordered and not used. Many people request medication monthly, weekly even daily that they simply do not need. When it comes to ticking which drugs they require, they just tick all of them when maybe they don't need them all.
Lots of people don't realise that once medicines have been dispensed by their pharmacist, they cannot be returned, even if it hasn't been opened. The only place it can go is the bin!
