Ecology Matters is a company bringing together a wealth of independent ecological experience from across Wales. Ecology Matters is a co-operative venture providing a wide range of ecological research and survey skills and all profits generated by Ecology Matters are used to fund independent conservation projects. Our services include:
Ecological survey and monitoring - including ornithological survey (such as BBS, wintering birds, individual species etc); botanical survey (including Phase 1, NVC etc.); mammal survey - including surveys for protected species such as bats, badgers etc; amphibians, including great crested newts.
Environmental Impact Assessment – we can provide the ecological component of EIAs from initial scoping through survey to assessment and including presentations at public enquiries.
Research - ecological research services such as individual species ecology, radio tracking, photo identification etc.
Management planning - from initial survey to writing management plans, interpretation and implementation.
