At the northern end of Aberystwyth promenade Constitution Hill rises dramatically (100m above sea level) to provide a spectacular viewpoint. On a sunny clear day it is possible to see many of the mountain peaks spanning the length of Wales.
'Y Consti'
The new restaurant 'Y Consti' opened in April 2005, it provides a breathtaking setting for visitors to enjoy a range of refreshments. The restaurant was designed as a replica of the former Summerhouse Tearooms Cafe, funded by a European Union Objective 1 grant.
Electric Cliff Railway
Trains depart every few minutes 7 days a week, mid-March until early November 10am – 5pm, from the station at the base of Constitution Hill during the summer months.
During the winter season The Electric Cliff Railway is open 5 days a week at 10am, from Wednesday to Sunday until March. (this does not include the Camera Obscura).
