What I like about the Kings Hall - good friendly service... staff ensure that you do not share a table with strangers...you are directed to the carvery at appropriate intervals...lots of meat, roasties...and wow, what wonderful sea views.

I am surprised that all these reviews are so negative - why have the queues of people who queue in the rain to get in for the carvery on Sunday not added a review - I cannot believe most are not regulars. I have been twice on a Sunday and thought it was excellent value (OK, not cordon bleu, but neither should you expect it to be). I am going to Aber this weekend, and will certainly make a point of going to Kings Hall for the Sunday carvery.

I went here with friends as we were recommended to go there. Very disappointing and on complaining about the meat the Manager was very rude. Where is his customer service and why is he still in charge when he obviously has done this before. See the review from 30/12/06.

I have to agree with the other reviews. We went there a couple of days ago and that was the first and last time! Most of the carvery vegetables were overcooked and the vegetarian option ('pasta' and I use the term loosely!) was so dried out, you needed a sharp knife to slice through it! In addition to this, the cutlery and glasses were dirty. Well you live and learn!

Why has this place won an award for the food?? have been there today and the food was terrible, salty spuds bland veggie food and the only good thing about it all was the meat, the starters were so small you only had one mouthfull and there was hairs in the salads!! the starters were also cold!! sunday carvery overall rating out of ten = 0.

Popped into KH for a meal on a visit to Aberystwyth - meal took 25 mins to arrive, and half the food was burnt or overcooked. Toast ordered but did not arrive.Didn't have time to wait for another meal, so ate what I could and left what I felt was a reasonable price for this poor meal on the table. The proprietor asked me back into the restaurant to settle my bill, and proceeded to verbally abuse me in a raised voice in front of all the customers when I refused to pay any more, eventually saying "get out of my f'--ing restaurant" Not a good advert for the town!!
