Coed Hafod Walk (0.75 miles)
The Coed Hafod Walk passes through different woodland types, supporting a great variety of wildlife. In the spring it is colourful with bluebells and azaleas. Its topography is relatively gentle, but views from it to the distant river, the mansion fields and pond, and to distant hills are very fine and give a sense of discovering the landscape anew.

This walk was reconstructed in 2003 as part of the Cydcoed-funded programme to improve community access to woodlands. It can be reached from the Car Park by taking the track to Pendre. Just beyond the private houses on the left, the walk branches right from the track and proceeds along the hillside at a relatively gentle gradient. It is not a circular route and walkers wishing to return to their starting place must decide upon a return route using other walks or estate drives. A suggested return route is shown on the map at the Car Par (dashed brown line) and links the route to the lower drive which is rarely used by vehicles.
