We have been a British Horse Society Approved Center since 1992. We teach riding to all ages and abilities - from the first riding lesson up to BHS AI. We have courses for leisure riders and training for BHS exams and NVQ for career students.
Horse Riding Lessons
Private lessons for half an hour, or join a one hour group, or come with friends and family for a lesson or trek or hack out - all riders are escorted. The horses are well behaved and we try to match riders to mounts.
Day and evening rides around the beautiful Rheidol Valley and surrounding hills.
Holiday pony days for children to learn and have fun, BHS Pony Club for regular children without their own ponies. Handicapped riders are always welcome.
There are two floodlit, one indoor and one outdoor riding manages, show jumping and full novice cross-country course. Also stable management and lecture facilities.
Opening:
Open 7 days a week, 363 days a year from 10am to 6pm. Prior booking essential. We have a rider weight limit of 15st maximum and age limit of 4 years minimum.
Riders should come prepared for weather with waterproof/warm jacket, jodhpurs/leggings or loose jeans and riding boots or shoes with a small heel are preferred. The latest BS safety helmets provided free. Body protectors for hire if required.

Just 4 miles from the town of Aberystwyth it is easily reached, signposted off the A44 trunk road at Felin Rhiw Arthen, Capel Bangor (lane opposite Capel Bangor Post Office).

A vast selection of Equestrian, Riding & Horsemanship Books that offer Horse Knowledge and Care, Stages one to four, and for the BHS Stable Manager's Certificate, and offers horse owners a guide to the care and management of horses and ponies.
This video was commissioned by the I.P.E.C. to promote Paralympic Dressage to the F.E.I. Congress prior to PARA-EQUESTRIAN being accepted as an F.E.I. Discipline. It proved so successful that following numerous requests it was offered for sale. The video is now offered free to let as many people appreciate the skill of the riders. The video shows the four competing grades in the sport starting at Grade IV the least disabled ending with Grade I the most disabled. Most of the riders shown have won International Medals at European, World or Paralympic level. Inset frames on some riders show the aids they use to control the horse.
